“I can laugh about it now, but not back then”, yes, we have all been there. I really hope that when I pass away as my still silly but much older self, that my own life isn’t replayed to me as I stand at the pearly gates. I don’t think I could bear it to see my gorgeous 6ft, buffed, tanned guardian angels (girl can only wish) bending over in tummy spasming laughs. My wrinkly, arthritic and tired body and soul couldn’t take it….and I wouldn’t look very graceful trying to knee my sexy adonis like angles in their leaf covered groins 😉
If only there was a handbook that mothers could pass to there daughters at the tender age of 16, a hand-me-down of lessons learned from passed generations. A what to do, what to look out for and who to avoid guide to help steer the younger family members from pain and heartbreak. Since the only piece of advice I received was “keep your legs crossed” from my mother, I will just have to keep learning, reflecting and reading inspirational, and very funny stories.
Shelly Hortons tale of serial dating and discovering that all is not lost when looking for love, is an inspiration to those wondering if they will ever find “the one”. Her witty story will leave you with a happy smile on your face. Despite Shelly’s roller coaster ride of emotional set backs and embarrassing experiences, she can now sit back and see the funny side of playing the dating game. If not for Shelly’s setback in finding love, maybe she would not be with her partner, happy and content and planning a wedding next year.
