Over the weekend Gerri Halliwell sealed her love for F1 Red bull team boss Christian Horner in a romantic ceremony in Bedfordshire, East England. According to the mirror.co.uk the two lovebirds tied the knot in a splendid ceremony at one of England’s most stunning properties. Set on a 3,000 acre deer park, Woburn Abbey is home to the Duke and Duchess of Bedford and their children, whom open their home throughout the year for tours and special occasions.
Dressed in a gorgeous couture lace gown created by Chelsea based designer Phillipa Lepley, Gerri walked down the isle with her daughter Bluebell, now aged 9 in tow. Surrounded by family and friends, which included the only member of the Spice Girls who could attend, Emma Bunton and her partner Jade Jones, Gerri looked breathtaking as she said I do to her partner of 16 months.
It wasn’t just Mel B, Mel C and Victoria Beckham, Gerri’s long time ‘sisters in music’ that didn’t show up to the big event. Christians parents were also missing amongst the happy guests, due to a family rift that began when Christian left his former partner Beverley Allen. An article posted on huffingtonpost.com.uk “Christian’s parents are still unhappy that he left his former partner Beverley Allen, just months after she gave birth to a daughter”.
Thankfully, at least one of their missing guests made it up to them. According to dailymail.co.uk even though Victoria Beckham could not attend her friends wedding, due to commitments at Singapore’s Fashion Week, the former Spice Girl member sent her dear friend a blessing, in the form of a gown. And not just any gown, Victoria sent one of her latest fashion creations from her upcoming collection for the couples honeymoon as well as a gorgeous bouquet of flowers.
As of today, the newly weds will be working on their tans, enjoying the upmarket boutiques and the splendid accomodation that only Cannes palatial hotels can offer. As the two enjoy their romantic time together in the south of France, Christian may even find himself the recipient of an intimate serenade. After all, it was Gerri and her gal pals who sang the hit song back in 1996…..Two become One…..
Candle light and soul forever,
A dream of you and me together,
Say you believe it, say you believe it
Free your mind of doubt and danger
Be for real, don’t be a stranger
We can achieve it, we can achieve it
Come a little bit closer
Baby, get it on, get it on
‘Cause tonight is the night when 2 become 1……
