It is now official, the bad boy of the big screen Jason Statham has finally proposed to his longtime girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley with a rock big enough to be used as exercise equipment 😉 The spectacular 5-carat diamond ring could be seen on Rosie’s ring finger while the couple stopped for photos at the 73rd Annual Golden Globe awards on the weekend. Jason and Rosie looked gorgeous standing together on the red carpet, looking happy and very much in love.
Rosie showed off her new ‘bling’ while posing in a gorgeous beaded Atelier Versace gown alongside her new fiancé who looked very sophisticated, yet still as sexy as ever, in a simple black suede tuxedo. The pair were walking the red carpet at the Golden Globes, where Jason’s comedy movie Spy was nominated for two awards. It wasn’t just the $350,000 diamond ring glistening on Rosie finger that had tongues wagging. Jason showed off one of his signature moves on stage when he placed Spy writer Paul Feig in a headlock. It was all a set up of course. Before Jason grabbed Paul around the head, Jason was claiming credit for writing, producing, and directing the comedy. When Paul tried to take back the credit for writing and directing, Statham decided to show him who was boss.
Statham’s tough guy act has followed him throughout his career. The 48-year-old English actor has been known for his bad ass moves in movies such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998), Snatch (2000), and Revolver (2005). The Transporter trilogy (2002–08), The Italian Job (2003), Crank (2006), War (2007), The Bank Job (2008), The Expendables (2010–2014) and Furious 7 (2015). It was while in hiatus from filming in April 2010 when he met Rosie on a blind date. And it wasn’t long before the pair were spotted at the Coachelle festival in California getting nice and cosy 😉
For the 28-year-old Victoria Secret Model who has also starred in a few hit movies of her own including Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) and Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) the English country girl seems more than happy with her lot in life. As Rosie told Self magazine in one of her rare interviews “We’re best mates,” she spilled. “He makes me laugh every day. I almost feel like I never had a proper boyfriend before!” And when Rosie was asked about any potential wedding bells, she answered “I totally believe in marriage, but being in a happy relationship is much more important to me.” Well Rosie, it looks like it wont be long before you get to enjoy both.
