My oh my – Have a look at what I found online. The gorgeous and very talented Mr Liam Hemsworth promoting mens cologne. Woohoo …it doesn’t get much better than that 🙂 I was surprised to find out Diesels “latest” fragrance for men called Only The Brave was released a year ago. A year ago! I was flabbergasted. Why had I not heard of this before? Did you know about it? Have you seen the clip or will this be your first time? I have to say, I don’t think I blinked the entire time I watched it. It would have to be the best 30 seconds of my life – Sorry Mitchell 😉 I can still hear Liam’s words “You could tell yourself, she’s too beautiful for me. Or you could ask yourself – what if?!”.
Liam sure has come a long way since playing the role of Josh Taylor in Australia’s home-grown television series, Neighbours. He caught the attention of hot-blooded women all across the country when he portrayed the life of a young man who was left a paraplegic after a nasty surfing accident. Liam was only on the show a year, but he left a lasting impression with viewers. Looking back now, it’s easy to see why the bright-eyed boy from Phillip Island longed for more diverse, challenging roles. Young, unattached, with such limited prospects here in Australia, it really was no wonder he left for bigger and brighter opportunities.
During 2009 Liam and his older brother Chris (look familiar? think Thor, Avengers…) moved to Los Angeles, California, like many other hopeful actors dreaming of making it big in Hollywood. Fortunately it didn’t take long for producers to recognise Liam’s talents. Within months of setting foot in the U.S of A, Liam had landed a small role opposite Nicholas Cage in the Sci-Fi thriller Knowing. Soon after he played the role of Will, alongside his on again-off again lover Miley Cyrus in The Last Song. From there, he starred in the block buster Hunger Games movie series, The Expendables 2, Empire State and The Dressmaker to name a few. And it doesn’t look like his luck will be running out any time soon. Liam has taken the lead role over from Will Smith, in the much-anticipated sequel to one of the biggest blockbusters in history, Independence Day: Resurgence. The movie is scheduled for release across Australia in August, two decades after the original movie.
Well it seems the strapping young man has become more than just a hot commodity in Hollywood. I found some information regarding Diesels big announcement last year that said Liam is the first celebrity ever to front one of its fragrances – Go Liam!! 🙂 Considering how wonderful an actor he is and what fabulous on-screen charisma he portrays, I guess it was only a matter of time before he caught the interest of big brands and labels. While I wait for Independence Day: Resurgence to grace our cinemas, I might just have to purchase a bottle of Only The Brave for Mitchell. Hmm, I wonder if Miley has a bottle beside her bed? 😉
