Don’t Worry About Me…

Rising British singer Frances is breaking hearts around the world with her Don’t Worry About Me music video.

When I first heard this song I was flicking through radio stations in my car. I only caught the tail end of the song, but what I heard caught my attention. The second time I heard it was after I dropped my daughter off to school. I quickly pulled over onto the side of the road, but I was in such a panic trying to find my iPhone that I nearly bumped the car parked in front of me. By the time I pulled on the hand brake, got my phone out of my purse and activated the Shazam App, it was over. Noooo 😦 Thankfully, when I got home and turned on my laptop, I soon found the song in the iTunes Store.

Sitting under Recent Releases was Frances – Don’t Worry About Me. A smokey cover in hues of blue and purple, nothing extravagant, just a name and a title.  I clicked on the play icon, sat back and listened. Once, twice… I ended up losing count. I needed a tissue so I made a quick dash to the bathroom. When I came back to my laptop I looked for the video on YouTube. I watched it once, twice and needed to make another dash to the bathroom. After using an entire roll of toilet paper blowing my nose and cleaning my panda eyes, I sat back down.

The last time I had this kind of reaction was when I heard the song Angel by Sarah McLaughlin. Oh that song pulled at me, it still does. I reached for just as many tissues then as I did today. Watching Frances beautiful video clip was so heart wrenching, even thinking about it now is bringing tears to my eyes. The bond of the man and woman in the clip is so beautiful, so wonderful… so heart breaking. Oh Frances, I hope you win an award for this song because you have achieved so much with your words.

Get a box of tissues, take your girlfriend, fiancé, hubby… sit down together and watch this video. It is the biggest tear jerker and one of the saddest clips I have watched in a very long time. I have attached the lyrics below, but before you take a peek, watch the clip. It will be available at the top of this screen. Sit back and admire the beauty and sadness of this love story. And please, leave a comment below and let me know what you think of it.

Frances: Don’t Worry About Me Lyrics –

I’ll feel the fear for you, I’ll cry your tears for you
I’ll do anything I can to make you comfortable
Even if I fall down when you’re not around
Don’t worry about me, don’t worry about me

‘Cause if I fall, you’ll fall
And if I rise, we’ll rise together
When I smile, you’ll smile
And don’t worry about me, don’t worry about me

I’ll feel the fear for you, I’ll cry your tears for you
I’ll do anything I can to make you comfortable
Even if I fall down when you’re not around
Don’t worry about me, don’t worry about me

I’ll climb the hills you face, I’ll do this in your place
I’d do anything to go through it instead of you
But even if I fall down when you’re not around
Don’t worry about me, don’t worry about me

‘Cause if I fall, you’ll fall
And if I rise, we rise together
When I smile, you’ll smile
And don’t worry about me, don’t worry about me

‘Cause if I fall, you’ll fall
And if I rise, we rise together
When I smile, you’ll smile
And don’t worry about me, don’t worry about me

‘Cause if I fall, you’ll fall
And if I rise, we’ll rise together
When I smile, you’ll smile
And don’t worry about me, don’t worry about me
Don’t worry about me, don’t worry about me
